Meet Badger
Handdels London’s Road-Warrior in Residence
If you’ve ever wondered what an XLWB VW Crafter gets up to when it’s not being admired in our yard, the answer is: a lot. Allow us to introduce Badger — our beloved, battle-hardened van and arguably the most well-travelled member of the Handdels London team. No passport required (we checked), but if vans could collect air miles, Badger would be sipping something cold in first class by now.
In fact, in 2026 alone, Badger has already spent more days on continental Europe than on home soil. While the rest of us are queuing for a Pret and complaining about the Tube, Badger is rolling through Belgium, gliding past the Alps, and generally living its best life on the Autobahn. We’ve started to suspect it’s not coming back voluntarily. HR has been notified.
Badger has already made deliveries to some seriously prestigious events this year — the World Economic Forum, Webex ISE, and MWC — rubbing bumpers (metaphorically) with the great and the good of global business, tech, and innovation. And that’s just the start. With a packed calendar of events still ahead, Badger shows no signs of slowing down. If anything, it seems to be accelerating. Literally and figuratively.
Of course, with great cargo comes great responsibility — and we take the security of every shipment extremely seriously. Badger is fitted with real-time GPS tracking with live data transmission, meaning we know exactly where it is at any given moment, anywhere in Europe. There is no hiding. There is no “just popping off for a quick detour”. Badger is watched. Lovingly but watched.
On top of that, it’s secured with an industrial-grade lock that would give a safecracker a headache and an immobiliser that ensures only our trusted crew can get in and get moving. Badger doesn’t do unauthorised passengers, unexpected visitors, or anything even remotely sketchy. It is, in short, an extremely professional van — even if it does seem to prefer France to Fulham.
Here’s to Badger — more road miles than a touring rock band, more countries visited than most of our holiday allowances permit, and not a single complaint logged. A true Handdels London icon. 🦡
